DIS - Disinfectant Testing Strips

Test Strip Revital-Ox Resert
Manufacturer: |
Steris Corporation 109827 |
Catalogue Number: |
DIS-PCC054 |
A chemical indicator designed exclusively to determine whether hydrogen peroxide, the active ingredient in RESERT High Level Disinfectant Solutions, is above the minimum recommended concentration (MRC) of 1.5%. RESERT High-Level Disinfectant solutions should be tested before each usage in order to guard against dilution, which may lower the hydrogen peroxide concentration of the solution below its MRC of 1.5% hydrogen peroxide.
Initially after a test strip is immersed in the RESERT Solution for two seconds and removed, the solution will turn the original blue color of the test strip to a uniform yellow. At the same time, hydrogen peroxide reacts with potassium iodide/starch in the test strip to develop to a uniform black color over a 90 second (1½ minute) period (passing). When the solution is below its MRC, the test strip will show non-uniform areas of black and yellow colors (failing).

Test Verify RESI-TEST
Manufacturer: |
Steris Corporation 109827 |
Catalogue Number: |
DIS-LCC100 |
Verify RESI-TEST Cleaning Indicator is a simple, yet effective verification to provide you with an added level of assurance that instruments are truly clean.
Ease of Use
- Immediate verification – 5 second test time
- Reduces interpretation failure with an easy to see color change
- Simply swab an instrument after it’s been washed, and monitor for a color change of the solution
Productivity
- No need to reprocess; only sterile water touches instrument
- Detects proteins on a broad spectrum and down to 1ug

Test Strip 7% AHP PREempt CS20
Manufacturer: |
Virox Technologies Inc 129834 |
Catalogue Number: |
DIS-AHP7S |
7% AHP Indicator Test Strips are easy to use dip-and-read reagent strips for semi-quantitative determination of hydrogen peroxide concentration in AHP disinfectant solutions for variety of applications.
Reaction of the AHP Test is based on a proprietary coupling system where the AHP reacts with an iodide salt and a coupler to form a brown coloured complex. Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) indicator test strips are used for confirming that the disinfection solution has been correctly diluted prior to its use to ensure the solution is doing its job as a sanitizer, disinfectant or sterilant.
• Test strip to be used on Accel CS20 Solution
• Easy to use monitoring system
• Quickly determines if the correct concentration of Hydrogen Peroxide is present
• 12-month shelf life (3 months if opened)

Test Strip 2% AHP PREempt HLD5
Manufacturer: |
Virox Technologies Inc 129834 |
Catalogue Number: |
DIS-AHP2 |
Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) Indicator Test Strips are easy to use dip-and-read reagent strips for a pass or fail determination of hydrogen peroxide concentration in AHP disinfectant solutions for variety of applications.
Dip the strip into the test solution for one second, making sure that the reagent pad is fully wet. Gently shake off the excess solution. Wait for 60 seconds then compare the colour on the reagent pad with the reference colour block. If the colour on the reagent pad is lighter than the reference colour block for a “PASS”, then the concentration of hydrogen peroxide is below the minimum recommended concentration for the AHP solution and should be discarded. “FAIL” colour blocks are provided only for reference and should not be used for measuring or quantifying the level of hydrogen peroxide in the AHP solution.
Test Strip For Cidex OPA
Manufacturer: |
Cilag GmbH Internation ASP 148735 |
Catalogue Number: |
DIS-20392 |
CIDEX® OPA Test Strips provide a rapid and easy measure of the minimum effective concentration (MEC) to enable an optimal reuse of CIDEX® OPA Solution.
The minimum effective concentration (MEC) required for high-level disinfection should be tested with the CIDEX® OPA Test Strip prior to each usage, to check each CIDEX® OPA Solution efficiently destroys microorganisms.

Test Strip Metritest Glutaraldehyde 1.8%
Manufacturer: |
Metrex Research LLC 115228 |
Catalogue Number: |
DIS-MC304 |
How to Test MetriCide Solution
1. Remove one MetriTest Strip from container and replace cap immediately. (For MetriCide use MetriTest 1.5% test strips. For MetriCide 28 and MetriCide Plus 30 use MetriTest 1.8% test strips.)
2. Dip indicator end of the strip into the MetriCide solution being tested for a full 2 seconds and remove immediately.
3. Lean strip against bottle (indicator end down) and wait 60 seconds. Use a paper towel underneath to absorb excess reagent dye.
Read color change at 60 seconds after strip is removed from solution. Disregard the top 2mm of indicator pad, which will be yellow. Pad will be completely purple to indicate the concentration of glutaraldehyde is above its minimum effective concentration (MEC). If ANY yellow appears, apart from the top line, the solution is below MEC and should be discarded.
5. Log your results and discard indicator.
